Practice speaking with AI roleplay dialogue — listen to native-like speech, respond out loud, and get detailed feedback on your pronunciation.
Pronunciation practice uses text-to-speech and speech recognition to create a realistic dialogue experience. The AI speaks a line in your target language, you select a response and say it aloud, then the app evaluates your pronunciation.
How It Works
- Start: Type
/pronunciation[EN/ES] in any chat or select "Pronunciation" from the slash command menu. - Browse Subjects: The Pronunciation screen shows a list of subjects organized by difficulty (Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced). Each subject has bilingual titles and your practice status.
- Roleplay: The AI speaks a dialogue line (auto-play TTS). You see response options. Tap the mic button and speak your chosen response aloud.
- Feedback: After speaking, you get a pronunciation score (0–100), word-by-word mismatch highlighting (green = correct, red = incorrect with a tip on tap), and grammar notes.
- Session Summary: At the end, you see your overall score, turns completed, and can save the session to track progress.
Voice Settings
In Settings, you can enable "Use High-Quality Voice (Offline)" for better TTS quality. If the voice pack isn't installed, the app links to your device's TTS settings to download it.
Why It Works
Pronunciation practice goes beyond reading and writing. Speaking out loud and hearing yourself compared to a native model builds muscle memory for sounds, intonation, and rhythm. The word-by-word feedback pinpoints exactly where you need to improve.
